VAMPIRE
A young girl was born
Pale as moonlight,
Appearing just seventeen
Yet as old as the night.
In the dark meadow of my dreams
Telling me stories
Of old, ancient themes.
Her eyes glistened brightly
As she spoke of her home,
Speaking of her friend,
The old garden gnome.
As she started to fade
She gently told me
That I was a Vampire
And so was she.
